The practice is delighted to welcome Dr. Susan Clarke, who will be joining our team on a part-time basis on Monday 19th October 2020.
Having grown up in Wynnum (graduating from Wynnum High), Susan then attended the University of Queensland where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, followed by her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Completing her internship at Logan Hospital, Susan then completed her specialist General Practitioner qualification (F.R.A.C.G.P.) in 2006.
Having worked as GP in Queensland for a few years, Susan then broadened her horizons, working as the Chief of Medical Staff at Satribari Christian Hospital in India, as well as in other remote locations in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
As well as being actively engaged in medical education as an educator throughout this time (including the training of General Practitioners in Australia), Susan has also furthered her own education, gaining a Master of Education, and currently working towards her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) through the University of Sydney.
Rural and remote medicine is one of Susan's passions, which she will continue to pursue on a part-time basis. When Susan's in Brisbane, we warmly welcome her to the Wynnum Manly Family Practice, where she will be a valuable and welcome addition to our team.
